Publishing your token value
Record each quarter's results and set the value your employees see.
The token value is what one unit is worth. Your employees see it on everything they hold. You set it here, once a quarter, from your own results. You do not need Longpass to do it for you.
How it works#
Each quarter you record one figure: the metric your plan is set to, which is gross sales, gross profit or EBITDA. Longpass configured which one, and how sharply the value reacts, so the value moves smoothly and cannot jump more than a set amount in a single quarter. You report the number and publish; the platform does the arithmetic.
Recording a quarter#
- 1Open Token value from the left menu.
- 2Under Record a quarter, choose the year and quarter and enter your figure for the period.
- 3Select Record and compute. A draft value is worked out and added to the history below.
- 4Read the draft. It shows the trailing twelve month figure, the growth, and the resulting value per unit.
Publishing#
- 1Find the draft row in the history table.
- 2Select Publish.
- 3The value goes live for every employee immediately, and what their units are worth updates on the spot.
How often#
Most companies publish once a quarter or once a year, on a predictable rhythm. Between publications the value stays where it is, and each row shows the date it was set, so your employees always know how current it is.
